The line outside had me convinced something special waited inside. People clearly love this place. The display case pulls you in right away. The cupcakes look incredible. Big frosting swirls, great colors, the kind of desserts that make you stop and stare. That’s where the excitement peaked. The cupcake I had looked amazing but the taste didn’t match the promise. The cake felt dry and slightly old, like it had been sitting longer than it should. The frosting helped, but it couldn’t rescue the texture. At these prices you expect a moment. One bite and you think, I have to come back here. Th

I am a cinnamon roll lover. DC is sorely lacking in places that make/serve legitimately good, gooey, soft cinnamon rolls. "Baked & Wired" makes them. That's it. Them. These people. They have the crown, and no other bakery within DC's city limits has gooey cinnamon rolls (except for "la Betty", but they're a sister company). I know because I've searched and tried, but none come close. Oh, yes, almost forgot that B&W also takes the cake on muffins. I had a coconut muffin and a red velvet muffin and they were so moist and beautiful. I bought half a dozen of these cinnamon rolls as a celebratory

A great place for cookies, cupcakes, and other sweets. You have to make a quick decision on what you want to get because they start asking what you want right after you walk in if there’s a line. Overall really good baked goods. Highly recommend the lemon crunch bar, great creativity and even better lemon curd. Cookies were solid, got ginger molasses and peanut butter. Cupcakes were nice too, a little pricey though. Super nice area with a little bridge nearby and other restaurants and bakeries. A little hard to find parking.

Best cupcakes we've had perhaps in decades. We tried the "Chocolate Doom" and "Razmanian Devil" flavors and both cupcakes were exceptionally moist, light and airy with a perfectly balanced, and topped with a not overly sweet rich, creamy, smooth frosting, which enhanced the cake flavors. Worth going out of your way to try. See my posted photos if you need further pursuasion.
