We take walks along the Niles Canyon Staging Area leading into the creek and discovered this place after a nice walk and wanting to stay out in the beautiful weather. Not sure why but we had a bit of trouble finding the place because it is narrow on the side street as opposed to on the main street and easy to pass up if you don't know what you are looking for. This is a dog friendly place which we wanted since we hike with our dog. There is plenty of street parking and a big lot nearby so you should have no issues finding a place to keep your car. Once you find the place and come in there

The Nile Cafe amusingly leaves off the “s” of the Niles neighborhood and uses that as an excuse to embrace Egyptian iconography. Around ten tables fit inside the small cafe, but there’s also a patio hidden away out back. I loved all the vibrant colors throughout. Great ratio of filling to egg and a good sausage and spinach omelette overall. I opted to add “hanfries,” which, of course, are home-fried potatoes. They use an original seasoning blend; if I had to guess, I’d say dry Italian seasonings sautéed with the potatoes. The hanfries’ butter was definitely browned, which is a turnoff for som
