I’ve been going to El super on First and Tulare since it opened. I’ve always enjoyed their sliced tres leches cakes. No matter where I live in the county of Fresno, I always drove to go get me a little slice of Heaven. I just went on January 28, 2026 because I had been craving it so bad. I noticed that the slices are much thinner and the price went up dramatically, also the tres leches was lacking. I figured well it’s OK. I’ll get home and enjoy my slice of cake. I’ve been ordering cakes from el super for the past year and a half. Never have I had an issue until now. Idk if they got new bakers or it’s the same workers but they did a horrible job with my son’s cake this time. Looks nothing like the picture. The toy placement, colors, shapes, etc are all wrong. Also the letters were supposed to be yellow and you can tell they messed up and used blue first then just wrote over it. Very disappointed.

Very good experience at El Super. Nice variety of groceries at an affordable price. Very clean and organized. The produce section is well maintained. The butcher meat department is extremely clean. The small restaurant in the store is very good.
