What an awesome old-school authentic spot! My wife and I had lunch here and absolutely loved the food, the ambiance and especially the incredible, lovely woman behind the bar, Eileen. We were trying to decide between the reuben and the BLT sandos and she quickly suggested doing a taste-off. Nice! So we ordered both and seriously they are LEGIT. Very generously sized, full of meat and fresh ingredients on delicious bread. And their side dishes are excellent as well, the potato salad and cole slaw were super. We'll definitely be back. Go!

The tradition lives on at this old‑school Irish pub. It’s a low‑key, no‑frills spot with that classic dive‑bar feel, and service is quick and friendly. The place has been around forever, and you can feel that history the moment you walk in. They do have a full food menu — burgers, sandwiches, and pub staples — though we didn’t try the food this time. There’s something comforting about a bar that’s still here, still traditional, and still doing its thing. A fine stop for a casual drink and a bit of old New York character.

There is nothing better than your neighborhood bar and Peter McManus Cafe is one of the best in all of NYC. Located in the hearts of Chelsea, but with reasonable prices. I had the Cesar Salad with grilled chicken breast. Simple, but what I needed, nay, much more than I needed. This salad could have served two. The bartender was pleasant and provided good service. This is a no frills cage, and could use some repairs and/or minor renovations. But. Too much would ruin its distinct atmosphere.
