Jennifer Pahlman★★★★★Great burger. My son had a basic cheeseburger with ketchup. I ordered a hamburger with mayo, tomato, pickles and fresh onions. Fries are seasoned.
Brian Nussbaum★★★Have been coming here for over 25 years but hadn't been by in awhile. Shocked by the high prices and small portions! Most classic plate lunch entrees- including specials- are between $19 & $20 dollars with one scoop of rice in what used to be a mini or kid sized box! Uncle's Pork -& Peas & my Korean Katsu were still ono, but at almost $45 for two plates $ small sodas, it's no longer a place I'll return to or recommend to visitors.
Matthew Wilson★★★A traditional Hawaiian drive in, with the Hawaiian staples you would expect, loco mocos and burgers. Our burger was decent but not great, the dive aspect and supporting a local business made this stop worth it. The customer service was just ok and this was a quick service option on our way home from Volcano National park to Waikiloa. In my opinion this is a true 3 star eatery. I probably would not stop again but it was a worthy vacation experience.
John Costello★★★★★We stopped at K’s Drive-In while passing through Hilo. It’s got that old-school local vibe, nothing fancy, just a big menu, good prices, and a steady flow of locals coming through. I had the kalua pork burger, and it was solid. Smoky, flavorful, and way better than I expected for something that came out of a little walk-up diner. The portions were generous, and the prices felt fair for what you get. The twist cone after lunch hit the spot, definitely worth trying if you stop by. Staff was friendly and helpful, even with my kids asking a bunch of questions about the menu. It’s not super quic
