Had a mid-week lunch here. Located in the Midtown area. Neat place with indoor and outdoor seating. I had no wait. I had the Shrimp and Grits which is under their large plates option. Shrimp was cooked well. Grits were very tasty with the creole sauce and mushrooms. The only issue was the portion was on the smaller end especially for a $28 plate. No bread either. Other than that service was good and my food was excellent. Some of the other dishes I saw come out looked very good as well. I will come back and check out some other options. Parking can be an issue especially during busy times.

Worth the trip! Stopped by on our way home from IAH looking for some Louisiana style food. Success! The recipes actually are slightly Mississippi influenced, but in Houston it is surprisingly difficult to find seafood which is actually seasoned New Orleans style. Josephine’s does a great job. It was a little early this season for crawfish, so the shells were a bit soft and they tended a little small, and not quite as heavily seasoned as I prefer, but the market price was in line with the area and the flavor was good. They seem to combine the boil and steam methods, which is how I prepare crawfish as well, so you can ask them to add more of the seasoning if you want to. I found the flavor built over time, so I didn’t modify. Most critically, you can get a real po-boy sandwich here. Yes! Leidenheimer bread, THE ONLY LEGITIMATE (remaining in commercial production) PO-BOY BREAD is used for their shrimp po-boy. My boys would only give me a corner of a crust, so it’s possible that

My wife and I were visiting from Colorado and were craving some seafood. The seafood, cocktails, and desserts were absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was fun and lively, and we were still able to have good conversation and hear each other. The staff and service were incredible! Brussel sprouts had too much sauce and differing flavor profiles. Just too much going on for me but some may prefer it like that. Boiled shrimp and crawfish were good. Again the sauce was heavy and I'm glad we had it on the side. Paul Prudhomme would have approved. Sausage and mushrooms were also good. Service was good but not superior. Price is good and service and food were on par with the pricing structure. I would come back again and try some other things off the menu.

The prestige and admiral oysters were excellent. We also tried the crab fingers and the crab rangoon. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the rangoon but the crab fingers are super unique and delicious, definitely do not pass them up! We had mahi mahi etouffe and redfish on the half shell. We will absolutely be back. 10/10

Food was amazing and there’s tons of parking in the front- get crabs fingers, shrimp and grits a little greasy and salty for me, the chicharrones from the tuna was stale but they fixed it and it was amazing. The chicken skewers had skin so made it tasty, the tuna is out of this world, always try the jerk fish collars it’s out of this world. The oysters have flair but a little dry- worth trying though- all in all an amazing meal. The jambalaya balls we’re not that special for Michelin place but it was good. Total bill for 9 people $400.00

I was in the area on a whim and decided to look for a place to eat. After a quick search, Josephine’s immediately caught my interest. I lucked out on a Tuesday evening around 5:30 PM and was able to get a seat without a reservation (though I highly recommend making one). We started with the roasted oysters, which were very good and perfectly shucked. I ordered the muffuletta sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Overall, the food and drink prices are reasonable for the quality. Parking is limited to garage and paid street parking. Last but not least, we received phenomenal service from our server, Greg. He was very attentive and extremely knowledgeable about both the food and drink menu from beginning to end.
