First time eating here. I called in a pickup order which took all of 5 minutes for them to get ready. (Pick up is at the register where you pay.) I ordered a double cheeseburger & side of onion rings. Total came out to a little less than $9 before tip. Food was really good! I had read that this is home of the greasy burger. I do disagree there, Dubs is more greasy. But Dubs sells slugburgers, while these were hamburgers. This was slightly greasy, but not overly so. More juicy than greasy. Extremely cheap food. You definitely get what you pay for though. They are known for the greasy burger and they weren’t kidding. It was super greasy! I also tried the chili dog and the fries (all for under $3) and it was good for the price. It is self seating so you go in and find an empty table. A waiter will come to you with a menu. You may leave feeling a little queasy but that’s just part of the cheap cafe experience! We went here since we wanted to try the oldest restaurant in HSV. It was good and had unreal prices but we probably won’t be back.

From the moment we entered and were greeted by the staff to the moment we left, everything was perfect. The food came out quick and the order was accurate for a party of 6. We have pancakes that were light and fluffy, omelettes that were overstuffed with meat, and grits that were creamy and smooth. We can’t wait to go back. It’s a must try if you are in the area.
