Jane Ahmon★★★★★We came for our cousins birthday dinner with 12 people in total and got a pre fix family style meal: each one ordered in advance. It was a ton of food with boxes upon boxes of leftovers, and at over $100 per person since we ordered a ton, it was costly, but it was a very very special dinner. It was the best dinner at a restaraunt I’ve had here in Hawaii ever, and one of the best in the us without any Michelin recognitions. It felt like a fine dining experience but with much larger dishes. Each of the dishes had their own unique texture and taste. They first bought out appetizers which were de
Ashlee Affonso★★★★★My hubby took me to a bday dinner here last week and I’ve got to say that everything we tried here was a 10/10 and took a leap out of the culinary comfort zone, elevating Hawaiian food and letting locally farmed produce shine. I’ve never been so proud to be eating reimagined Hawaiian food, and enjoying a twist on a classic beverage. I’ve already told my gals we are due for a girls night out at this restaurant. Nina V★★★★★My sister first introduced me to this restaurant ~10 years ago? We tried the family style meal last night for 4 and it was very good. I love the farm-to-table fresh produce, Hawaiian-Asian fusion flavorings innovative mixes offered in their cocktails and their dishes and sauces. The dining area is spacious and they keep their "garage" glass wall open to encourage healthy air flow. The host and our server (new trainee flying solo) were friendly and helpful. It can be more challenging to hear softer voices in the restaurant because of the interior decor.
Kathy C★★★My rating was modified due to inconsistency... 1. First visit was delicious, except for the chalk-dry ulu: "The he'e (octopus) here was well prepared (not chewy) with a creamy tasty luau, and the clams were well balanced with coconut milk. Please find another way to to serve ulu, as the deep fry came out dry and bland." 2. My second visit for my birthday was an utter flop: both the octopus and clams just tasted like salt licks. 3. My third recent visit was for drinks only (food felt too risky). Someone ordered the ulu which was delicious - soft on the inside, crispy outside. Please r
