Two of my friends live walking distance away, and the weather was gorgeous, so we decided to walk over. The space felt almost open air with the small fountain and high ceilings, and the ambiance and general vibe were fantastic. Who knew Korean-Columbian fusion was a thing and that it could be this good?! The food was incredible as were the delicious non-alcoholic smoothies we tried (with dairy-free options available). Off hand, we tried chicken wings, the whole fried fish with coconut rice, yucca fries, and a few other things that were so good we fully consumed them before I remembered to tak

I’ve been to Escala in Koreatown a few times before, but this visit meant so much more because I brought my aunt, kids, and family to celebrate my aunt’s birthday. We’re all Colombian, and while we absolutely love our food, I really wanted them to experience Korean cuisine — and Escala did not disappoint. The food was incredible, full of flavor, and honestly felt so homey and comforting. Everyone at the table loved what they ordered. This place has been on my hit list for a while, and it did not disappoint. I will return to this place. We got the 2 lunch special plates: Chicken, Chicarron, and the loaded Yucca fries. WOW. The fries alone could have been lunch. The yucca was perfectly fried, and they did not skimp on the toppings. WORTH every penny and calorie. The Chicarron was perfectly crispy-fied. Plantano was perfect. Pickled onions were beautifully tart. This could have fed 2 people. Parking. Street and paid lots. The lot next to the Quarter KBbq place is a great deal ($5 all day before 3pm) We came for lunch, an

Went here for a world cup game and the place was packed. Luckily we had a table since there was barely any room for anyone else. The energy was on another level and the whole room had a buzz. Even with the happy chaos the servers were attentive, fast and the food was delicious. The staff were beyond professional warm and caring especially Chef Faiga who was on the floor making sure her staff and patrons were well taken care of. Truly impressive. Of course we won the game and the place came even more alive with the DJ taking over and everyone dancing and celebrating throughout. What a wonderful
