Best coffee in town by far. The look and feel design and atmosphere is amazing. The owner and the staff and team are friendly helpful and warm and engaging. Toilets are clean. WiFi is great can get some good work done. Music can be a touch too loud. The takeaway cups drip randomly. The single origin beans are so yummy. Plenty parking and the outside area is awesome with some nice shade vibes.

There are so many coffee spots in town but La Luz is the only place I’ll recommend. While there is plenty of other great coffee in ABQ, La Luz has the most consistent flavor profiles, nicest people, and creative drinks no matter what you’re looking for! Some places are great when they open and quality drops off but La Luz has been super consistent since they opened their brick & mortar. I live across town but make a point to stop by everytime I’m near, even if I just had a coffee. My current fave is their seasonal cherry drink and I add their peach cold foam and I’m not kidding when I say it’s the most fun and delicious drink I’ve ever had. Their base bevs like cortado and matcha are great too. It can be intimidating bc it’s very cool kid coded in some ways (just in that they have great branding and clean look and the people that work there have great personal style) but don’t let that stop you because when you get to the counter they are always super nice.

I have been a customer at la luz coffee since about a month after they opened and every experience has been welcoming and friendly and pleasant. I've actually has the pleasure of being a vendor at the fall AND spring market and both times i've had the most fun at any pop up event ive done. The environment was so welcoming and friendly and you can really tell they care about community. I mean their slogan is, "community through coffee." You can tell they are about it! Every visit I make in (about twice a week) has been wonderful with service and product always top notch. These are the reasons I will always return. This place really values their community and their customers!

GET RID OF THE GREEN CHILE BURRITO! IT’S DISGUSTING. Honestly one of the cutest coffee shops I have ever been to and the pastries are great. It also has a great environment to work or study but that green chile burrito is horrible please please get rid of it because you have such a wonderful coffee shop.

Happened upon this cute coffee shop while biking around the neighborhood. What a sweet spot! Baristas were very friendly and attentive, the matcha was exceptionally good, and the pastry we tried was so beautifully-baked and not too sweet. The shop was filled with lots of customers but the tables were spread out enough that it didn’t feel overcrowded. They had bike racks out front, which I appreciated! The only thing for which I was left wanting: I really love some comfier or alternative seating options for shifting/sitting/studying/talk circles and this place was more standard booths/tables/hard wood surfaces. It seemed designed for people to flow in and out rather than hang for more prolonged amounts of time. I also love being surrounded by plants and this place felt more modern/minimalistic. Will definitely come back to try more of their food/drinks, though! Thanks!

The experience I had at La Luz today, was one that I hope to replicate in my own service everyday. As a coffee service professional, I have visited a lot of cafes over the years. I’ve found that a good experience at a cafe taps into all of your senses and your humanity. La Luz is providing that kind of experience for their guests. They are doing this by treating each guest well, prioritizing community, and serving amazing items. There’s a level of care coming from the baristas that I really admire. I got a Costa Rica pour over, and a matcha. The coffee was roasted so well, and by someone that obviously cares, and the matcha was amazing as well. The glassware and ceramics were beautiful. The music was great! Overall a beautiful specialty coffee experience, fully deserving of 5 stars.
