Cool cafe with a bunch of eclectic nicknacks and wall art. I got the goat cheese crostini which comes with a side of roasted tomato relish. It was good but it didn’t blow my socks off. It almost seemed like it was missing just one extra ingredient or garnish to take it to the next level. I also got the chicken club and it was good. The star of the sandwich was definitely the bread. You can tell this place knows what they’re doing when it comes to making bread.

Panes is the best sandwich shop in Chicago. Hands down. Their bread is fresh and every sandwich is made to order. Love stopping by here for a lunch bite whenever I can. Their menu is extensive, so there should be a suitable food option for everyone. You can also buy their bread by itself. It is very affordable.

Went with the pollo diablo sandwich and a side of mashed potatoes. The sandwich had just the right amount of spice and was super satisfying. the mashed potatoes were creamy and a nice comfort food pairing. The place felt relaxed and easygoing which made the meal even better. definitely coming back to try more.

Juicy grilled chicken breast throughout with gooey provolone cheese on top. The caramelized onions and bell peppers provided some sweetness as well. While I enjoyed the sandwich, the chips were cold and not salty. With tons of options, I’ll for sure be back and will also try their m
