Located near the beach. (Busy 4th of July weekend.) A Saturday. Parking is difficult. There’s a public parking garage for $40. What a ripoff from the town. Very little street parking. There was a lot charging $30 so we did that. (But still. Well, that’s the jersey shore.) The parking has nothing to do with the quality of the restaurant. Ten out of 5 when it comes to service, and the food was phenomenal. Cheryl was our waitress for the day and I cannot say enough good words about her. She was exquisite. So kind, so attentive and so pleasant! We had an absolute blast.

The restaurant is very dark inside, which may appeal to some people, but after a while it became a bit off-putting. It also felt too warm, and there was a noticeable greasy smell that irritated my eyes at first, though it eventually faded. The service itself was good. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and clearly working hard to manage a busy floor. My biggest issue was the food quality compared to the prices. The atmosphere at Lana felt like the perfect combination of upscale and relaxed that I was looking for at the Jersey Shore. I tried the Tropic Thunder cocktail from the menu and at first I wish it had a bit more kick. Maybe some muddled jalepeno? But the tajin rim was definitely a great compliment. Shoutout to Nick the bartender for a delicious end to our night!
