One of our favorite spots in Madison—Sushi RED never disappoints. We’ve dined in both the main dining room and the RED Lounge, and both have great atmospheres. My friend and I went to this place because it was just across the street from Hyatt Place where we stayed (we didn’t want to walk far because it was freezing), and we were glad we did. It was about 8 PM on a Tuesday night, and the place was busy. Luckily there was a table for us. We ordered the sashimi dinner and Fallen Apple (one of their seasonal rolls) plus warm sake to share, and they were all high quality - very good! For dessert, I had cheesecake + sorbet and my friend had the flourless chocolate cake, and we both enjoyed it. Our server, Emilie, was also very nice. I’d go back to RED

Best date night sushi spot in Madison. Made reservation day of in the Ember Lounge which had a very relaxed atmosphere and very attentive and pleasant servers and staff. Highly recommend pairing some of their signature dishes with their high grade sushi. Don’t shy away from the ‘Hot’ Bao Buns if you’re sensitive to heat.
