We were passing through Manitou Springs on the suggestion of a friend on our way to Denver and needed to decide where to eat. I decided on Mate for their high rating and charming hand-drawn menu. We’re very pleased with our experience at this cafe and everything we ordered was delicious and fresh! The smoothies and sandwiches in particular are a must and the waffle was wonderful (not overly sweet). The atmosphere and decor also added to the experience. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area!

Kanah served us and he was the absolute best! My friend and I got a salmon sandwich and roast beef sandwich and they were so flavorful. The tropical smoothie was also super flavorful and Kanah even have a free little cup of it to my friend. I had also never had Mate before but it was phenomenal, and their mango and peach mates were my favorites. Kanah even gave me a cup of it on the house on my way out. Great food and the best service!

The sandwiches here are absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend the deli pesto. Their hazelnut vanilla latte and iced peach matte were some of our favorites as well. Staff here is so friendly and welcoming! My husband and I mentioned being in Manitou for our honey moon, they got creative and brought us the cutest little surprise!

This cafe is such a GEM! We tried out their salmon sandwich (do not remember the name), strawberry banana smoothie, and butternut squash soup of the day. It was ALL DIVINE!! The ingredients they use are simple and fresh. We also purchased Yate Mate to try out at home. Dont knock the fish sandwich until you try it because we are dreaming of the flavors 😍 Full transparency: we had a medical emergency here due to altitude and the staff were incredibly kind.
