Had a great first experience at Marietta Proper! The lemon pepper wings were tasty and so were the craft cocktails. I tried the Creole Shrimp and Grits but it wasn't my favorite. Bar service was amazing, watching the bartenders keep up with the steady flow of drink tickets was my favorite part of the night! I tried the Citrus No. 5, Humidor, Moody & Blue, and Mob Wife all of them were exactly the flavor profile expected and finished to perfection! The White Chocolate Coconut Bread Pudding had good flavor but was a little dry, I think a sauce or scoop of ice cream could remedy that easily.

Suuuch a cute little bar and the food is to die for. My favorite is the mushroom dumplings but recently I tried the shrimp and grits and it’s so good! 🤩 The drink is the camera man and it was great! I love popping pearls so that was a fun touch.

We were walking the Square and was attracted by the outdoor seating. We had great service with Samual. We did forget our receipt we needed and they were able to get it for us the next day. The food was so good, really enjoyed the shrimp and grits. I had the Humidor drink. It was excellent. We returned the next day for lunch and it was just as good.

My best friend and I have been searching for a spot that feels like “ours”, so we tried Marietta Proper to celebrate her birthday. EVERYTHING from the drinks, to the vibe, and the food was 10/10. We tried a few drinks: apple of my eye, pear up, and the blackberry lemon drop. We went during happy hour and got the charcuterie board, short rib, Mac and cheese, roasted salmon, and mashed potatoes. For dessert, we chose the guava cheesecake. Marissa was our server and was EXTREMELY sweet! She gave excellent menu recommendations that did not disappoint! We can’t wait to come back and try the Speake
