Yulonda Durst★★★★★If you love good authentic Nigerian food, with great service, and a peaceful atmosphere, Amala Joint is the place to be. I love several of the items such as the Egusi with Pounded Yam, Jollof Rice, and Suya. The flavors of each of these meals are so pleasing. I also loved the Bitter Leaf Soup even though is has a strong taste.
Bria Mykal★★★★I was very eager to try Amala joint for my fix of African food. The service was not bad but I came for the food not immaculate customer service but I smile or proper greeting would’ve been nice. The stew was great! Rice was fresh and my Agoyin was good too. The ONLY thing that ruined the $40 meal for me was the beef in my stew was tough as leather. Literally. It was extremely dried out and inedible. I was so disappointed to be served that after spending so much on my food. I hope this review brings some type of change to serving people old dried beef. If that wasn’t my experience I would have
sheniqura huff★I’m really disappointed. This place went from a 5⭐ experience to a 0. Consistency is extremely important to me. Especially being in the medical field. I drove an hour and 30 minutes for this meal, because of my previous visit. Unfortunately, this time was completely different. There was a lady sitting outside in a chair who didn’t greet me at all and seemed upset. When I walked in, multiple tables were dirty. I still stayed positive and was very polite to the cashier, even mentioning that I had driven a long distance for this meal. She assured me everything would be fresh, but that was not
