There are restaurants that serve beautiful food, and then there are places that create an entire experience. Bottega manages to do both effortlessly. Every plate felt thoughtful, balanced, and deeply comforting without losing refinement. From the pillowy gnocchi to the rich red sauce, delicate prosciutto, crisp salads, and perfectly executed seafood, every bite reminded us why simple Italian food done exceptionally well never goes out of style. Even the atmosphere carried that same warmth: relaxed, elegant, lively, and unmistakably Mission. What stood out most was how inviting everything felt.

From our very first interaction, this restaurant exceeded our expectations. We called ahead with a large party of 11 people, plus our dogs, and were greeted with such warmth and kindness. Instead of making us feel like a challenge to accommodate, they made us feel genuinely welcome. When we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful the restaurant was. The décor is absolutely stunning and creates an atmosphere that is both elegant and inviting. We were especially happy to find outdoor seating, which allowed our entire group—including our dogs—to enjoy the experience comfortably. What reall

Our waiter, Giovanni, was attentive and kind throughout the entire experience. We started with Brussels sprouts and bruschetta, which were excellent. For the main courses, we ordered gnocchi with Bolognese sauce, gnocchi with pesto, and fettuccine with vodka sauce. Everything was very flavorful, beautifully prepared, and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming.

Unfortunately, this one didn’t land at all. I was hungry but couldn’t finish my pasta, which says a lot. The garlic didn’t taste fresh - more like garlic powder than properly sautéed garlic. The cream sauce was broken and curdled rather than smooth and cohesive, which made the texture feel off from the first bite. It lacked that silky, emulsified quality you expect from a well-made fettuccine. I als
