Such a cute coffee shop! The coffee is great , and I absolutely love the atmosphere! So many fun board games available to play with friends while enjoying a cup of coffee. We visited on a Sunday morning. It was busy, but not overly loud. We were easily able to find a table, and our coffee was prepared in a timely manner. Highly recommend Bongo Java East!

I was genuinely excited to try Bongo for the first time given the reputation and local love it gets, but unfortunately my experience fell short of expectations. I ordered a cappuccino and it came out extremely messy, poorly constructed, and not great in taste. The foam was inconsistent and the drink lacked balance overall — disappointing for such a classic espresso drink. I would completely understand this if the shop had been slammed, but it wasn’t particularly crowded at the time. That said, the staff were friendly, which I appreciated. One of best places to play a game and get coffee that we have been to. Very nice selection of games that are FREE to play. Coffee is excellent and we had a choice of three snacks for only seven dollars. Plenty of people playing and others not playing and just having coffee and food. Small area to sit outside and nice park space next to store. Plenty of other great food options in this fun little part of Nashville away from broadway. On street free parking was easy to find.

Cool cafe in the East End. Good coffee and pastries. Decent amount of seating inside. There's also a side area for playing board games. It's a chill atmosphere. Service was good. Friendly staff. A few parking spots in front or there's street parking.
