Highly recommend this place 100%. The staff here was on top of their service, especially right after a show at the NJPAC theater. Small dining room, but made up for the very nice servers and attentive care they put on their customers. Food was fantastic, sauces are DELISH! Burgers are amazing. Cauliflower tots just as amazing. Very transparent on what they have to offer. Black owned business as well, love being able to support 🙌🏼 Much love to yall!

First time visit here today to meet a vendor for lunch on his recommendation. The Lamb Burger was recommended and we both enjoyed it with fries. A cool hipster spot in Military Park near the Robert Treat Hotel, WBGO Radio Station and NJPAC in downtown Newark. Parking could be an issue on the street during events, but there is a parking garage right next to it. I would recommend a visit when you are drawn to the area for a show or event.

Anytime I see cream soda on the menu I know the food is about slap! They ran out of a few items and let us know from the door which was great. Its a very chill vibe and atmosphere that allows you to trust the food is gonna come out great. The oxtail burger was mixed with ground beef but it was still tasty and tender. I cant remember the last time I ate a burger in one sitting. My youngest son had the wings and he ate all of them. We even ordered a dessert which I never do anytime we go out to eat. Everything was delicious we didnt have a single complaint.

From the moment we were greeted with "Are you folks gonna hangout with us?" I knew the Yard would be a good choice. There's a good range of dishes all reasonably priced. Service was prompt and friendly. We both went for hot dogs which didn't disappoint. I also had the sweet potato tots which came with a wicked dipping sauce. The cream soda was definitely "a blast from the past" I haven't tried that in years. Make sure you leave room to try the grilled Pound Cake it's amazing. You must try the Yard it won't disappoint
