Burt★★★★Orange garden has long been one of my most favorite places for their burrito size egg rolls which are very delicious with that vintage Chicago style peanut butter/ five spice flavor that you can only get in here. All the other dishes I've had are slightly above average, not amazing . I honestly could eat two or three orders of egg rolls and call it a night! It's an old school Americanized Cantonese restaurant, with Chinese zodiac paper placemats in that vintage 1970s Chinese red & gold deco. The service is very attentive and friendly.
GG Taruc★★★★★Portions are huge so be careful when ordering. I like that they don't over season their food. There were 7 of us and we ordered 6 dishes. 2nof them were barely touched. I would rate the food 8/10. Service was excellent. BYOB.
Tim★★★★I visited after reading online that this is one of the oldest restaurants in Chicago. I found the food decent; for the price I'd say it was even quite good. I had the general tso and kung pao chicken and liked that they were not as cloying as some other Chinese American restaurants make these dishes. I'd definitely get takeout if I lived nearby, and the idea of people enjoying the same ok Chinese American food nearly one hundred years ago makes me feel like a part of the city's history.
Agata N★★★★★i love coming here for lunch. the special is So Much Food and the sweet and sour chicken really hits the spot. it feels like a dish from my childhood
