While dropping my friend off at work, we passed Pollo Campero, and she described it as the “Spanish Popeyes,” raving about their grilled chicken. After dropping her off and before hopping on the highway, I decided to stop in and see what the hype was about. The restaurant wasn’t very busy when I arrived. I ordered the 3-piece grilled chicken meal with one side and chose the fried plantains. I drove about 20 minutes home, and the food was still warm when I arrived. I had the the pleasure of walking into Pollo Compero one evening. I had just come off from work and would not have any time to cook for my family. While I was standing in the line to order dinner, I noticed a variety of meal combinations that I could put together. It was difficult to decide as I was on a budget as well. Mery assisted me to tell me what I should get so that I can bring home more food for a decent price. I had ordered the grilled chicken, with the yuca fries, the empanadas and the rice. Everything was tasty. I won’t hesitate to go there again real soon.

I ordered the 2 piece combo with Yuca Fries. They had the best flavored chicken. Juicy, wish it was more crispy. I wish I had gotten the rice side dish, because that goes well with it. Yuca Fries and Horchata were very good too. I'm definitely coming back for their grilled chicken next time.
