We’re serious sushi lovers who’ve eaten at spots all over the country, so our standards are high. We stopped at Asahi in Olympia on our way to Olympic National Park — honestly just looking for a quick meal. It turned out to be one of the highlights of the entire trip. The ambiance alone sets this place apart — elegant purple decor, soft lighting, clean and upscale feel. Not what you expect from a highway stopover town. Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly without being pushy. Perfect dining pace. We ordered the miso soup to start — rich, well-seasoned, exactly how it should be.

We take sushi seriously and have tried great spots across the country, so we don’t impress easily. We stopped at Asahi Sushi on our way to Olympic National Park just for a quick meal — and it turned into one of the most memorable stops of the trip. The interior feels refined and stylish, with soft lighting and purple accents that give it a calm, upscale vibe. Service was genuinely kind, attentive, and well-timed. The miso soup was deep in flavor, the seaweed salad fresh and nicely plated. The Baked Salmon Roll and Olympian Roll really stood out — fresh fish, balanced flavors, and beautiful p

Probably the best place in Olympia for good sushi. Fresh and beautifully presented. I got the soft shell crab and the albacore tuna roll, while my friend chose the basic California roll and gyoza. All were delicious and I highly recommend dining in!

1st time dining here at Asahi Sushi and I must say this is the best food I've had in a very long time. Flavors were endlessly pouring in each bite. The Asahi roll and Heart attack roll were phenomenal. My wife loved the king salmon nigiri I personally liked the seared salmon belly more for the fatty texture. Soft shell crab is a great appetizer. The seating was nice, the area is quiet, and the music is classical with a holiday theme. 100% will return and have already recommened to many!
