The atmosphere was welcoming and warm. High booths cut down on the background ambient noise. Stopped in for an early meal. The food was very good and well prepared but not awe inspiring. The blue crab dip was excellent with a decent portion to share between 2 people. The small order of the BLT wedge salad was a generous portion with plenty of delicious accoutrements. The Pinery exceeded our expectations. They had complimentary valet parking. Our valet was very nice and even offered to carry our bags to our vehicle. He had our car out and waiting on us when we were done eating; we did not have to wait on him. This place had a great ambiance and was perfect for a date night or a celebration night; in our case it was our anniversary and family vacation all in one. This place was great! From the food, atmosphere, and staff. Kaley (spelling?) was our server and she was so attentive and kind, as well as the manager Cam. We tried a cocktail on the menu and he casually mentioned his own crafted cocktail which we asked to try which was also wonderful! If you go, order Cam’s Pear Pressure. I’ve lived in the building right above The Pinery for a while now but hadn't given it a try until recently. Honestly, I regret not going sooner! The food is excellent—the alligator tacos are a must-try—and the espresso martini was perfectly made. Beyond the menu, the ambiance is cozy and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is beautiful, situated right across from Lake Ivanhoe, and the fact that they offer valet parking is a huge plus for the area. I’ve already visited two nights in a row and plan on becoming a regular. Love the vibe here!
