We stopped in as first timers for a late night dinner. Maclovia is a true gem in South Gate. We shared the Pork Belly bites appetizer and the order came with several big sized pieces, guacamole and pico de gallo and green salsa. Delicious! I ordered the Sopes plate and it came with 3. My meat choice was asada and it was flavorful and the sopes were cooked perfectly and loaded with beans, meat, and all the fixings. Hubby ordered the chicken flautas and they did not disappoint. We did go pretty early. There was only one server for about 6 tables. So the service was a little slow. Although it was with a smile. My food was delicious but it came out cold. So I had to send it back. My sister, aunt cousin, both had a french toast and they both said that it was amazing. I will be going back but I would love to go during their brunch on Saturday or Sunday, when they have music.

Had such a great experience at Maclovia! We ordered the chilaquiles en mole and the belly bites both were so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The café de olla was a 10/10, seriously delicious ☕️✨ Our server was amazing super attentive, kept checking in, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. He also told us about their live music nights, which we’re definitely coming back for. Highly recommend if you’re looking for good food, great service, and a chill vibe!

This is one of the best food spots in the area, even though it can get pricey so I stick to getting the basics just like an omelette or eggs with something, but that can be expensive also and I think their best feature is the corn tortillas. I think that they make there on the spot. It’s like very good quality ingredients.
