Great spot with a real New Orleans vibe that goes beyond the menu. The creole okra gumbo was delicious and so was the shrimp po boy. There’s also a good variety of east coast oysters which you can get for half the price during happy hour. The owner is really kind and is most times behind the bar shucking oysters himself. Plus, there’s a complimentary dessert that comes with your tab…that was certainly a nice touch as well! The restaurant is small but I was able to walk in and grabbed a spot at the bar. I definitely recommend making a reservation if you can.

We came hungry and had ourselves a MEAL here. It was hard not to order everything on the menu (and we came pretty close, to be honest.) The corpse is a perfect cocktail; balanced, light, fruity, and just the right amount of liquor-forwards; it’s reminiscent of something a little beyond this world. The barbecued shrimp are fantastic. I just wish there were 100 of them. The gumbo and étouffée are perfectly spiced, have the right texture, and we really appreciated the additional touch of portioning out everything that we ordered to split. Fried catfish and salade verte were a beautiful starte

Best Creole food in NYC, hands down. After spending a month in Nola, this really brought me back! The fried oysters (5/5) were juicy, moist, but crispy and hot - literally the best fried oysters I've had. The shrimp poboy (5/5) was amazing - lots of fried shrimp and tasty flaky bread. The BBQ sheimp (5/5) INCREDIBLE - so umami packed, with sweet succulent shrimp. Y'all don't walk, run here!

I came here for a friend’s late bday dinner and we shared a bunch of items! The oysters were amazing as well as cocktails and wines. We enjoyed everything and the owner, John, was great! He took such good care of us, kept the pours coming (LOL;) and engaged us in conversations which we enjoyed! Would definitely come back, especially for the oyster happy hour!
