This is the Petaluma location of Sol Food. The menu is so extensive that it's hard to make a decision! They even have multiple soups of the day. The chicken star logo can be easy to miss, but you won't be able to miss the line of people waiting to be seated! You order and pay first, then bring the number to your table. The server helps you find a table, so don't worry about securing one while your group is waiting in line. SERVERS ARE SO NICE. -Bistec sandwich $14.95 is a good first-timer choice. The sweet plantain may be overpowering though. -Camarones criollos $15.95 had good flavor. Good

My first time trying Puerto Rican food and I’m SOLD. 10/10 will be back. I’ll be honest, I can’t remember the names of anything I got. It was prawns over mashed plantains, a soup, some pink beans with ham hocks, a half rotisserie chicken, some olives, and a hot sauce. They were all amazing!!! Their Pique sauce with the chicken was probably the highlight.

Best part of our experience was the food! We ordered the Pollo Rostizado (whole chicken), large sides of the rice and the beans, sweet plantains, and Mofongo Relleno De Camerones (shrimp with mashed plantains & salad). All the dishes were very good! Party of 5, and it was enough for all of us. Spent about $110 before tip. The chicken was tender, moist, and very flavorful! I guess we could've ordered the combo, but we wanted larger sides of beans and rice. My parents really enjoyed everything! They also appreciated that some of the food was soft, because it was gentle on their teeth. F

Shared a half chicken platter with my wife which was plenty of food for 2 people. We ordered at the counter and then sat on the patio. Big interior space and a nice patio space in the shared courtyard near the fountain. I admit we were expecting a sit down restaraunt rather than counter service, but it was very tasty and I'd go again and try something different for sure.
