Reema Bhattacharya★★★★★We chose this lovely place to celebrate Mother’s Day, and we were pleasantly surprised with a special free dessert and a bouquet of flowers. For appetizers, we ordered fried shrimp, and the sauce was even better than bang bang. I couldn’t get enough of it! The drink was delicious, and the spicy miso ramen was a hit. My girls and I had a fantastic time.
H L★★★★★This place is INCREDIBLE. Based on observation, seems like this place is owned by a nice Japanese lady. The fish is fresh, the prices are reasonable for a downtown location, and the vibes are awesome. The cooked food? Delicious. The sushi? Delicious. I’m also a sushi snob who loves raw scallops and so rarely do I see a roll that does scallops so correctly!! The crunch scallop is the BEST. please come here. I need this place to be here forever. Only complaint is that I wish it closed a little later. Maybe 10 PM instead of 9 PM? Pictures are from multiple visits. Clearly I love this place.
The Housekeeper★★★★★Our server was named Hannah and she did an exceptional job caring for us. I eat a lot of Japanese food and this place really hit the mark of what it means to be a good Japanese restaurant. I got the spicy miso ramen and I am still thinking about it. The spicy edamame was one of the best that I have ever had. Everyone enjoyed their rolls and the taste was awesome. I’d totally come back when I’m visiting Raleigh.
Christina James★★★★★10/10. Food, service, atmosphere, did I mention the food?! Sono Sushi gives O-ku a run for their money. I’ll try a few different roles when I go back but everything we had was phenomenal. The ube cheesecake is a must-have!
