I always have an excellent meal at L'Opossum. It's the closest thing RVA has to a European Michelin restaurant. Interior is quirky - sort of a gay Elvis vibe...but it works! All I can say is whoa what a sensory experience of flavors, plating design, service, music and art. We went for a wedding anniversary and birthday and I’m so glad we did. Also, our server Devon was awesome and my father-in-law had a great experience for his birthday.

Celebrated first anniversary with my bf here. Food was delicious. The chestnut soup was out of this world. The entrees were delicious, the coq au vin and the lamb belly were just so moist and fell apart so easily. The koign aman was the perfect desert to end the dinner.

I had a wonderful experience here for my Birthday dinner! I would highly recommend this restaurant for the ambiance. The wait staff is very polite, friendly, and helpful! The cocktails were delicious. The food was good but didn’t give them 5 stars because I have liked other restaurants much better. I would go back to try a different entree and appetizer if the opportunity presents itself!! Thanks for a great evening !
