The food itself was wonderful. The service was lacking. It was our first visit in, we went through the line to order. Got to the first set of people in the cafeteria-style line and they said we only order from them for soups or salads. Ok, then. She said, you order at the register for anything else. We went to the register, ordered what we wanted and were given a number card to take to our table. We sat down and about 10 mins later my plate was delivered. We waited close to another 10 mins and my Mom's plate still hadn't came. We asked the man that was running the food orders and cleaning

Had a Sunday brunch and all food ordered was prepared as requested. Only staff member working behind the food counter was not friendly or polite. It seems they hate to work at this restaurant and not happy to serve customers. The worst one was the Cashier. Really in bad mood and tired. She was totally ignoring all customers. Why do I have to serve all these customers??

Overall La Madeleine is my go to place. Breakfast 9r lunch is good and reasonably priced. I like the fresh bread too. This last visit I was disappointed with my salad: way too much dressing and shaved parmesan cheese! Dressing shouldn’t take over the salad. Also need to clean floors and tables as people leave. Location gets lots of patrons and things a bit messy.

The food is really good - especially the almond croissant. The service was great, as everyone was really friendly. (But ofc it would be nicer if you could just take a seat and if the waiters come to your table.) The cafe's interior could honestly be a bit cosier and, hence, more welcoming, because it looks a bit like a barn. 🥲
