“Haven’t been back in four years. Still a great place to meet folks after works. Good happy hour vibe. We had grilled cheese and tomato soup and pizzas. Good service all around.”
“Interesting place with a lot of potential but the quality of food doesn't make up for the blandness. So, it's fresh, care is taken by the cooking staff, but seasoned for grandpa & grandpa. The real issue is just how loud it is. Almost impossible to talk during brunch.”
“Love this local spot! I haven’t had a bad experience here so far. Great food, wine, and weekday specials. My least favorite menu item for now is the lemon sorbet. My favorite entree would be the pork chop! This is a nice spot to bring someone visiting from out of town”

Angela Bui★★★★★Every time I go to Liberty Tavern, it's busy. Bar is full and so are the tables. The food is delicious. I haven't had anything that I wasn't happy with. The espresso martinis and bubbly rose are my favorite libations. Though I did mention that the bar is usually packed, service is hit or miss. There are times when my friend and I will sit with glasses empty trying to get someone's attention for a refill and we have waited 15-20 minutes. Keep that in mind and be patient when the venue is packed.

John★★★★★Fantastic Thanksgiving meal. Although we were initially surprised to see the change from buffet to a la carte (made during pandemic, as we had moved away from the area for a few years), the menu was a winner across our dining group. My only wish is that some communal turkey, stuffing, and gravy had been included for the whole table to allow people to have their main dish of their choice and a bit of tradition as well. The butternut squash soup, sweet potato gnocchi, all the sides, and generous pie slices were fantastic, as were the cocktails. Thanks to Brittany and Juan for excellent service!
J Perez★★★★Was in town with a few coworkers for a business project, and we all stayed in the same hotel nearby. The Liberty Tavern is a beautiful restaurant near historic Old Town Alexandria. We were welcomed by a super friendly hostess, waited about 15 minutes, and then got a table upstairs. We ordered drinks, which arrived quickly. My drink was strong...just the way I like it. No complaints here. We ordered the toast with tomato and the calamari appetizers. The toast was excellent: very crispy, and the tomato was fresh and refreshing. The calamari was delicious. The breading was perfectly seasoned with a bit of spice. That breading was money. I ordered the Beef Tagliata e Fritte. Let me be clear: I’ve never been a fan of hanger steak. I’ve had plenty of bad experiences with this cut of meat. However, these guys did a great job with it. It was tender, perfectly cooked to a medium rare, and well seasoned. Bravo! The fries were good, and the arugula was incredible. The peppercorn dressing was
Reggie Why★★★★★My son and I was riding our motorcycles and needed some food and look up this placed up and what a great decision! The area was great and nice to people watch and enjoy the sights. The food was Hot and Good!!! I recommend this place and the staff was cool
Karly Saran★★★★★I have gone to liberty tavern before for dinner, and they have great pizza, drinks, and appetizers, so when I went to brunch yesterday- I knew it was going to be good. My expectations were exceeded by all means necessary. We got unlimited brunch and here were some of my favorites: the deviled eggs, chicken parm, chicken biscuit, the meatballs, pimento cheese dip, the steak, the Cesar salad, and especially the mini grilled cheese with soup. Our server (I think his name was Nick but I may be mistaken) was so kind, polite, and attentive. I almost went back today because I woke up craving the food. Big variety for the unlimited drink menu as well which is refreshing for a brunch place in Arlington! I wish I took more pictures of the food but unfortunately the phone did not eat first. Will be back for brunch again soon! (Dinner is also delicious but my socks were blown off for brunch)
