Tony Andres★★★★★This coffee shop is absolutely beautiful elegant, clean, and very welcoming. The ambiance is fantastic, and the music is played at the perfect volume, making it easy to relax and enjoy a conversation without having to raise your voice. One thing I really appreciated is that most tables have convenient access to power outlets, making it a great spot to work, study, or simply unwind. I ordered the Mazapán Latte, and it was perfectly made with great flavor. I highly recommend this coffee shop if you’re looking for a comfortable place to enjoy quality coffee in a relaxing atmosphere.
Yolanda Vargas★★★★★The coffee has an amazing taste - I got the 20 oz mazapán latte. I didn’t know it was imported from Mexico, but you sure can taste the difference from other coffee shops. I would highly recommend for the taste and vibes there. Not to mention, the staff was GREAT. My server who I’m blanking out on his name was amazing. He went above and beyond explaining the menu and giving me recommendations. I hope the owner knows they are running a great shop and have a great team. I will definitely be going back this weekend with my family. :)
Bunny★★★★★I feel it’s pretty rare to find coffee shops with AMAZING quality beans here in the IE!! This place is sooo delicious. I got The Jaguar in SPEAR and the larger cup is the Mazapan latte, both with oatmilk. I have visited many coffee shops and I tend to be very picky when it comes to quality of the way the espresso is pulled, quality of beans, espresso to milk ratio. I do want to say if you prefer a more stronger coffee, get The Jaguar (it’s just 4 espresso shots instead of the 3 with your choice of signature latte). The Mazapan Latte is good as well, it’s a little bit more on the sweeter side, tastes a little bit more milky due to the 3 espresso shots rather than the four. Café Oro Dos Aztecas is on my top choices for IE coffee shops! I love it!
Jeremy Shields★★★★★Brand new place. I've literally come here every morning. From the art work for sale on the walls to the plants and furniture, the atmosphere is about as good as it gets. I've never had "Mexican Coffee" but I think I'm a convert. The iced mocha is so refreshing and delicious. I ask for light mocha sauce and they deliver. Not too sweet, but so smooth. I should have tried something else on my daily odyssey this past week, but it was so good I couldn't pass it up. Ricardo, the owner is super friendly and welcoming and has a fascinating life story if you are lucky enough to talk with him. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Lizz Anya Beamon★★★★★This is a beautiful coffee shop breathing new life into this side of the street where I live. Everything about it feels very intentional. From the menu, to the art on the walls, & the fun coffee table books to flip through while you wait. The space has good energy that feels inviting to sit and enjoy your drink or catch up with a friend. The mazapán latte is so delicious. I find myself tapping the cup to my face to catch the last bits of crunchy mazapán when it’s finished 😅 I look forward to trying their food items, the guava pastry is yummy & perfectly sweet.
Kaley Beltran★★★★★Very friendly, and they actually spell my name right! Which is very hard. I love The Spear and the Mazapan Latte. I order both of these half sweet because it is a little too sweet for me, personally with the full sweetness. I love the vibes, pretty good to catch up with friends, if there is space. The mini cookies are so cute, but I haven't tried them. The parking is the only difficult thing because there is only street parking that you have to pay for, but the first 30 minutes are free.
Jenny Navarro★★★★★Right when I came in and they were playing Joan Sebastian, I knew I was going to love this place! They have a comforting and welcoming atmosphere and you can tell they poured a lot of love into this place. I love the pictures they had framed. They have a pour over and drip of the day featuring beans from different parts of Mexico. When I went, they were from Veracruz and Chiapas — which has the perfect weather for coffee beans. I had the Cafe Oro Matcha and it was delicious! No notes. I asked for an extra scoop of matcha just in case because I don’t like watery matcha and it was perfect. My sister had the mazapan latte. It was a little sweet for our taste so I will make sure to ask for 75% sweetness next tjme! As a student, I am so happy they are open till 7pm, have stable WiFi (which many coffee shops lately don’t have…)food, bathrooms, and plenty of seating. Street parking availability can vary depending on the day and time. (You get 30 minutes for free!) I’m definitely going b
Maggie Taylor★★★★★I first visited this place when it was a cart in a gallery on the other side of downtown - I was so excited to finally visit their new location! The space is beautiful and peaceful with lots of cool art and natural light. The coffee was great and came out fast, but my favorite was the bacon breakfast sandwich and the hibiscus tea. Will definitely be back!
