em★★★★★Really cool and authentic taco restaurant kinda tucked away in the middle of Salt Lake City! Awesome place to go if you're craving some tacos like the ones they serve in Mexico (at least in my opinion). Sis and I went here on a whim, and honestly it was so worth it. I LOVED the Lotería decorations they had around the place, as well as the mosaic tiles. I asked the guy at the front if I could practice ordering in Spanish, and he seemed pretty amused by it. We got one shrimp and beef (oh, I meant un taco de camorones y un taco de carne asada). Super good! It was a good combination of sweet and
Wa Qas★★★★★Great experience at Maize. The service from the cashier was excellent—so friendly and helpful that she alone is a reason I’d come back. The food was tasty, and even though we were stuck behind what looked like a large corporate order, the atmosphere and quality still made the visit enjoyable. Parking, however, is a bit of a hassle with so many cars parked on the street with their hazards on. Still, overall a solid experience and definitely worth returning.
Jose Campos★★Ordered several items despite specifically requesting Al Pastor on 3 of the items they gave me Carnitas. After politely mentioning it they seemed bothered by me pointing it out to them and an awkward silence followed. I asked them if they could at least fix my wife’s item and please ensure the right protein was used on the to go item they had not yet prepared. I was not surprised to see my wife’s remade items had a sprinkling of protein and later validated my suspicion on the to go item which was half the size and resembled a vegetarian burrito. Was a bit taken back by the whole thing as we f
Michelle Mejicanos★★★★I went in and ordered a bowl and asked for Birria with it. I got charged wrong and tried to clarify the price with the cashier. She didn’t even know what I was talking about and just sort of guessed. Then she went and asked who I’m assuming was the manager and they just told her “whatever that’s the price” even though that wasn’t the correct price reflecting on their menu as they say, so they are up charging people without them knowing or they need to update their menu correctly. The food was alright way too much sauce, I really like the salsa bar. Good location.
