First time eating at Hukilau and not disappointed at all. Great staff and atmosphere and the food crazy good. We are from Hawaii and ate the fried noodles which had pepper which is local style. Thank you for the best time ever. We went to the San Jose Cherry Blossom festival which was so much fun.

Have been to a lot of Hawaiian BBQ restaurants and overall this place is pretty solid. Had their garlic chicken with teriyaki beef with an order of a three scoop poke combo. Chicken was great, far better then the beef which was just bland comparatively. The poke was fine, I dont think I'd come here for it since there's so many options near by but still fine. Mac salad and spam mushi was alright as well. Overall they are a tad pricy but worth a visit for their garlic chicken.

This place is a little known spot that you've either never heard of, have been to but for whatever reason haven't been back, or you're a regular. The fried rice burrito was amazing! The misubi was perfect and the staff and ownership are incredibly friendly (shout out to my server Corey! She was great!) Put this place on your short list!

This is a treasure in San Jose's Japan town area. My group at 3 dishes... Loco Moco, Fried Rice, and Garlic Chicken. All are highly recommended. The staff was friendly and quick. Super reasonable pricing. If you want authentic Hawaiian dishes, but can't trip right now, then head here.
