To be fair, the quality of their food is 5 stars. Their pizza crust is perfect! Everything is clearly fresh and well made. Unfortunately, the flavors weren't right. The pepperoni pizza sauce basically tasted like flat tomatoes without something to balance the acidic sweet flavor. The BBQ chicken pizza had blue cheese for some reason. Not sure if that's an ingredient in their secret BBQ sauce but that's the kind of thing you should list in the ingredients if you're going to include it. Delicious food all around! I really wish I had tired eating here earlier. Feels high end but affordable with a cozy modern atmosphere. We took advantage of the happy hour deals on drinks and mini pizzas and we're very satisfied. They'll give you free garlic knots if you ask but I'd recommend adding some marinara sauce for dipping. We'll definitely be back for more.

Food was spot on. We ordered pasta, pizza, and salad and all were delicious! They make their own dressings and the honey-dijon was terrific. We’ve been eating at Pizza Nova for over 17 years and visited all 3 locations (note the Solana Beach location recently closed). We love their food and it is consistently good at each location.

Me and my son always excited to look forward each time we are visiting Carlsbad and experience most delicious food here at Pizza Nova. I highly recommended to try their phenomenal Seared Salmon and Risotto, OMG it was the best salmon I ever had. It was surprisingly 😋 delicious.
