Joe's Cafe has a incredibly inviting atmosphere! It was one of the spots we tried for the first time while in Santa Barbara for my birthday weekend, and it turned out to be a really fun choice. ​Our server was very pleasant, and a quick heads-up: the bartenders here pour heavy (which is definitely not a complaint!). I was already feeling a nice buzz from my spicy Bloody Mary before our food even hit the table. ​As for the meal, the spinach salad was remarkably fresh. Service was friendly and quick - Eric was our server and was excellent. I got the salmon salad which was delicious a veggies fresh and finely chopped, and salmon cooked perfectly. The Mac and cheese and Rueben (subbed pastrami and coleslaw for corn beef and sauerkraut) were all fantastic. Atmosphere is fun and relaxed, restaurant is clean, would definitely come back.

Joe’s Café in Santa Barbara was such a lovely spot to stop after a long drive. The food was really good, fresh, comforting and satisfying, the service was warm and friendly. I ordered an omelet that originally came with three eggs, I asked when ordering if I could have it doubled six eggs they agreed as I had to do a phone order for my parents that couldn't afford breakfast I was paying over the phone I bought them two coffees and an omelette with six eggs The omelette was so incredibly tiny I question were they bantam eggs? They weren't standard size eggs that's for sure! The waitress was nice She had a couple of extra eggs scrambled on the side but wasn't part of the ordered breakfast.
