Colors is the only Mexican restaurant in downtown Sarasota at the moment. Comida is a small place that seats no more than 80 people. Atmosphere was cozy. The food was very good and we got the happy hour tacos. We added chorizo to or queso dip which was interesting. Other options were shrimp. Because the place is small, they don’t have a liquor license. While they have some type of margaritas on the menu, it’s not made will tequila. They use Christiano which has a low proof. A breathe of fresh air. Following an amazing afternoon at the circus, we decided to give a try to one of the recent addition to the Sarasota restaurant scene, intrigued by their gluten free menu. Well cheers to a new favorite. The food was nothing less than amazing. Excellent quality of the ingredients ( the tuna was outstanding), and the portions was enough to allow sharing in tapas style. A mention also for the drinks both the classics and the proof zero ones. Last but not the least, a real espresso to make this Italian happy.
