Grano has a prime location and plenty of seating, which initially gave me high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. The service was extremely disappointing. We constantly had to flag down servers for even the most basic requests. You could easily sit for 20–30 minutes without anyone checking on your table or even noticing you needed assistance. As for the food, the only positive was the fresh bread. Everything else was a letdown. I had dinner at Grano in Albany and opted for their 4-course menu. Every course was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The highlight for me was the tomato soup—rich, flavorful, and comforting—and the salmon, which was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The pasta course was also good, and the appetizers set the tone beautifully. The service throughout the evening was attentive and friendly, making the entire experience feel warm and welcoming. Highly recommend Grano if you're looking for a good meal in Albany.
