Amazing spot with a wonderful piano night. Relax, it's a beautiful place & enjoy the live local talent. I love the tall chilled glasses the beer is served in. Took a star off for the bartender. Maybe there's a different role for him that doesn't involve interacting with customers. He doesn't need be fawning just a tiny bit friendly & helpful. Otherwise the place is great.

I wanted to love this place because performing at piano night was fun. Unfortunately, my interaction with one bartender completely overshadowed the experience for me. As an Asian customer, the interaction left me feeling deeply uncomfortable and questioning whether bias may have played a role in how I was treated. Awesome little bar we’d never heard of or been to before. The server had control of the entire restaurant on a very busy night with a show at the Lincoln Theater next door. Chili (odd choice for a Saturday night) was great and pretty spicy, but needed more meat. Bossman moonshine was fabulous.

One of my five or six favorite bars in the U.S. This is a non-profit bar that uses its money to help build schools in historically marginalized and under-resourced regions of the world. Great (great) beer, plus a one of a kind vibe. Good food too. Service is phenomenal. Love the no cell phone and no standing rules. All about good conversations and being present.
