Anna Derderian★★★★★First time here, and I’ve been meaning to try Taisho for a long time—so glad we finally did because we were definitely impressed and really enjoyed our time. The hosts and servers were very friendly. Our server, Sarah, was especially kind and helpful. She was patient, gave great recommendations, and truly made the experience even better. Everything we ordered was amazing: the spinach salad, lobster roll, spicy albacore roll, toro sushi, crispy chicken, and a few other dishes I can’t even remember because it was all so fresh and delicious. My husband is very picky, especially with sushi, and
miumiu_not_chanel★★★Cute little American-Japanese fusion spot. Prices feel a bit high for the ingredient quality. The salmon seemed slightly over-thawed, though the minced ginger helped. The smoked wagyu sushi had a nice smoky flavor but came out a little cold. The atmosphere and service were lovely though. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way for it, but if you’re already in the area, it’s a nice stop.
GregxPerez★★★★★TLDR: Great food, attentive service, and strong vibes. A solid special-occasion/night out spot in Studio City if you plan ahead for parking and reservations. Really enjoy the atmosphere here. The room feels polished but still relaxed, and service has been consistently attentive every time I’ve come. Ventura parking is tough, so expect to valet. I think it was around $10 or $15 if remember right? Worth noting. Reservations are smart since it gets busy. Now for the food: •Cucumber Kimchee Sunomono is a killer opener. Bright, tangy, wakes up your palate. •Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice is a safe yes.
Noam Wolf★★★★★I had an incredible evening a Taisho with my friend last night. Everything we ordered off the menu was amazing. Service was very attentive, and the whole team was really nice. The only thing that bothered me is that the doors were kept open and it was very cold inside. We ordered the spicy albacore roll, and the truffle salmon roll, which were both really good, we got the salmon miso sashimi as a starter, and the vegetable Gyoza, which is honestly the best I’ve ever had. You can feel it’s made fresh at the restaurant. Two Wagyu nigiri - fire!!!!! And the street corn dish was great too. We tri
