The food and the service at this restaurant is exceptional!!! We ordered the lamb curry, chicken cashew nuts, jacketed shrimps and the love youzu mocktail and were soo impressed on how delicious everything was 🤤😍

The food tasted okay, but they tried to pass off hamburger as flank steak. Then they said it was chopped flank steak. You can decide for yourself in the picture. The pomegranate lemonade was great. As were the egg roll appetizer. Wait staff were kinda lackadasical. Had to ask for extra napkins twice, then wait a long time. They weren't even busy. Probably won't come back.

Thai at Silver Spring is a decent Thai restaurant in downtown Silver Spring. The menu is extensive, and they have a lot of traditional Thai dishes, as well as a mix of not so traditional dishes for those with less sophisticated palates. I ordered the traditional Thai dish of “basil chicken” or “ka pow.” They have two version on the menu, one is the traditional Thai way of diced meat, and the other version is sliced for people who do not want minced chicken. For years, Thai at Silver Spring was our favorite. It was once a lovely, well appointed and very pleasant place, but it has declined, and I think probably changed hands in the past few years. We continue to eat there occasionally because most of the food is still pretty good. They stopped making many of my favorites, like the shrimp cake appetizers. We ate there this past weekend, and it was good. My husband had the Jungle Lovers (superb veggie dish) and I had the Red Thai shrimp curry, also very good. We shared a lovely little dessert cake, a small chocolate molten type, can't recall the name
