Jesse Elder★★★★It always amazes me that the people most vocal about Slagels don’t realize how much money they are or could be saving. The magic number is $18 a day, three hot and square meals a day. And if that seems too steep you, just remember a Big Mac meal cost almost $11 itself these days. Where else can you eat three whole meals on $18/day? Sure you could probably eat cheaper on BAS but that means going out of your way to buy food, prepare it, and cook it. In the end probably more time and money wasted. This is the most cost effective meal plan, there is nothing close to it. It’s a chow hall, not a r
jc monkey★★★★Best Dfac I've been to by far. Compared to other Dfacs this one is like a five star restaurant. It is unfortunate that some of the drink machines in the building are inoperable. I adore the staff that work here it's usually older ladies and gentlemen. They are so kind and they remind me of my grandparents that I never get to see anymore. Fun Fact this is also one of if not the busiest dfac in the country. The staff work almost as hard as the soldiers, airmen and sailors that eat here.
Carter Jilk★★★★★For army free food definitely the healthiest and most consistently good dfac I’ve been to. Never left hungry. For a place that is in the middle of Texas and has 3000k people per day of foot traffic there’s gonna be the occasional bug brought in from the outside. I never noticed any cockroaches in there but I noticed many complaints centered on that. Out of the 5-6 dining facilities I’ve been to this has been the best by far
Yogesh Kathet★I would rather like to stay hungry than eat at slagel.. The food is tasteless and awful. Sauted vegetable is boiled.. Hashbrown seems like a hard stone. Today we have a morning breakfast with crockroaches. Seems like soldiers washing their hands doesn't mean anything since we get to sit with roaches while eating.. I think the slagel need to visit rocco once to see how food should be prepared.. Please change the contractor for slagel... Soldier's need good food. Not the terrible experience..
