Donald C.★★★★★Perfect late-night snack spot! Stopped by Taco Mesita around 8:15pm and everything hit the spot. The woodfired steak tacos were juicy and full of flavor, and the 18hr pork shoulder taco was melt-in-your-mouth tender. We also devoured the woodfired elote, crispy tallow corn chips with salsa, fresh guacamole, and those amazing whipped jalapeño and smoky tomato salsas. Saved the best for last with the churros & chocolate ganache — warm, crispy, and dangerously good. Generous portions, super fresh ingredients, and a very reasonable price. Exactly what we needed for a satisfying late-night craving
Jerry Flanagan★★★★Taco Mesita, Orange County, California : Finding a Mexican restaurant in Orange County that serves breakfast burritos, within a 20‑minute radius of the Irvine Spectrum corporate office district, is surprisingly difficult. Taco Mesita in Tustin not only met that challenge, they became an instant favorite for our 10‑person team lunch‑and‑learn and bonding session. One important note for anyone planning a corporate meal: Taco Mesita only serves their breakfast menu from 7 AM to 12 PM on business days. If you’re aiming for breakfast burritos or breakfast tacos, plan your order window accordingly.
Alisha Gamble★★★★★I have to say the server was a little unhinged but the food was good. I came based off of an Instagram post that made the burritos look bite-sized & the menu also says they're smal so when I ordered 2 because it was recommended that way. No, that was a really poor decision. We'll, the server, when we ordered was like "All that? For the two of you? You're gonna be taking some home." It just felt a little bold. To be fair, I don't understand why they have a sign that says they're small & to order two if they aren't. Anyhow, the jalapeño salsa is WHERE its at.
Graciela Ortiz★★I really appreciate Taco Mesita for being a seed oil free restaurant, and I genuinely enjoy most items on the menu. The flavors and quality are usually great. However, I’ve consistently noticed that the chicken in the chicken burrito is often undercooked and appears pink. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, the chicken was significantly undercooked and caused food poisoning. Because of this, I would strongly recommend avoiding the chicken burrito unless the cooking consistency improves. I still think this place has a lot of potential and hope this feedback helps address a serious food
