First push cart dimsum experience I’ve had in Chicago! I feel like some of the dishes were quite good (the chive and pork bing, chicken feet) but some of them were a bit weaker (Xiao long bao was a bit weaker). Nonetheless, I feel like it was a solid dim sum experience, though you do have to be a bit firmer about turning down the food. Also tea to supplement was nice though not free. Come for some solid dimsum uptown!

This spot reminds me of any traditional Chinese/Vietnamese banquet hall! Plenty of seating and even a stage. We went around 11am on a Sunday, they must’ve just opened. Only a few tables were in use. Btw- Their servers/cart pushers all spoke English! The dim sum is comparable to east coast style. I judge dim sum places based on the chicken feet, tripe, and pork ribs. Everything tasted very traditional, 10/10 would come back again. They also validate for parking in the lot next door!

Furama is one of those places I’ve passed by countless times, always thinking, *“Hmm, looks pretty nice—maybe I should stop in someday.”* Well, I finally scratched that curiosity itch, and let’s just say… I’m glad to have that box checked (and closed). First, credit where it’s due—the service was genuinely warm and attentive. The server was accommodating and friendly, which almost made me feel bad for what was to come. Almost. We arrived a bit before closing, so I’m not sure if that explains the underwhelming food or if that’s just the regular experience—but either way, the kitchen seemed ti

Furama is a fantastic community owned and ran business in the heart of Asia on Argyle. I have attended here for 2 different Uptown Chamber of Commerce events this month and everything was excellent. The food was outstanding, and so great for me as a vegetarian 🌱. I really enjoyed the event space, featuring a family-style lazy Susan to grab your food from. You can tell they care so much about the community. I am excited to check them out for an upcoming Dim-Sum and Drag event!
