Great food, wouldn't mind a bigger portion of noodles with the pad Thai. Fresh, great quality food with a nice assortment of items on the menu. Sushi was tasty, super strong wasabi that brought tears to my eyes, which I loved. Presentation is beautiful, with Fresh orchids. We had crab puffs which were very Fresh and tasty. The filling on the crab puffs was very flavorful, with green onions nicely flavoring them. They have a happy hour from 3-5 Monday thru Saturday that had some great items on it. The iced Thai tea was very good.

I’ve been going to Thai Orchid for years. Like, decades. I can’t believe I haven’t written a review. I used to go there when it was in a different location in downtown Vancouver. Anyway, if you like Thai food and you haven’t been, GO. The food is amazing. The service is amazing. The prices are good. The bathrooms are spotless. The plants add a nice vibe. There is PLENTY of seating. There is free parking in front of the restaurant. There is also street parking (free on Sundays anyway). Thai Orchid is a mainstay in downtown Vancouver and MUST-VISIT.

I was very excited about this places based on the reviews. I came during lunch and ordered Chicken Pad Thai for take out. I asked to cook the bean sprouts but they were not. The dish was very very salty and mushy. The noodles were broken into smaller pieces. Needless to say, i wasn’t impressed with the service and food. The restaurant itself looks big. I’m not sure if the food would taste different from dining in.

This was my third time at Thai orchid. In the past, it has been somewhat underwhelming. My visit today was amazing and makes me want to keep coming back! Lulu was very kind and attentive. The peas mojito she made me was the best I’ve ever had. The sashimi platter was delicious- every bite was high quality. For dessert, I had mango sticky rice which is hard to mess up. My main takeaways: -the octopus sashimi: I have always disliked this cut of sashimi- it has always been rubbery and relatively flavorless no matter where I go. Today I found out that I love it. Thai Orchid’s octopus is not chewy
