I recently visited Jake’s Burger, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was! As someone who enjoys finding great vegan options, I ordered the black bean burger, and it was absolutely amazing. The burger was so good, perfectly cooked, and had a great texture that made every bite enjoyable. However, I would say, my favorite parts of the meal was the green bean fries. Just stopping in on the way back to OKC. Wanted a quick hamburger from a unique 'fast food' drive thru. Decided to eat in, glad we did. NoT traditional fast food, Jakes is like a diner. A yummy diner. Great apps, great ranch. Fountain sodas perfect ratios and fizzy. Burger poppy seed bun was soft & tender. Not poofy & dry. Menu pushed double meat burgers. I opted for 1 patty. It was filling enough. However, I could see how the bun is made to support 2 patties. Nice and filling. I do wish I asked for well done, I don't like ANY pink. Marshmallow dipping sauce with the sweet potato fries slaps.

I wish I discovered Jake’s sooner. I sometimes meet a friend in Waco (it’s halfway drive for us so that’s our compromise). We’ve been to Freddy’s (it’s pretty good for fast food), Hawaiian Bros (not good - portions were skimpy and expensive), and Chick Fil A (pretty consistent). Wanting a good burger for a late lunch, we decided on Jakes Burgers. Our 5 star experience actually began before we entered the building. An employee opened the door for us and welcomed us in. He said his name was Dominic and he would be our server. So many great options on the menu. Chose Coke Zero, classic double cheeseburger and the Hot Hickory burger along with fries and tots.
