Apparently a "must" when in DC! Been here eons ago for breakfast and lunch this time didn't disappoint. I had the sangria....was fabulous. For apps, we did calamari (some of the best I've had), meatballs, pretzel and the chicken parm. The chicken parm was so delicious!!!! Split the crab cake for an entree because we were so full and it was perfectly prepared with just the right sauce. And like all the other reviews, definitely need a reservation.

Even though I’ve been here many times, this visit gave me a chance to experience more of the establishment, and it reminded me why this place remains such a popular DC staple. Visited Old Ebbitt Grill with my family on May 27, 2026, and had a great experience. I ordered the Spicy Sausage Garganelli, a dozen oysters, and two Sierra Nevada Hazy Lil' Thing IPA drafts. Everything was flavorful especially the oysters, and the beer was a nice pairing with the meal. What stood out the most was the service. Our waiter, Stephen, was friendly, fast, and knew the menu well. He was able to answer our questions and recommend a few items, which made ordering a lot easier. Overall, good food, good drinks, and great service. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in Washi

Old Ebbitt Grill is a classic D.C. experience — great atmosphere, rich history, and excellent food. The service was friendly and efficient even when busy. The oysters were super fresh and yummy. The overall vibe felt both elegant and welcoming. Perfect spot to relax after exploring the city. I would definitely come back.
