This place was so amazing! As a born and raised SoCal latina I know authentic Mexican food, this earns 5 stars. I was not expecting such an amazing spot in Colorado and I am glad to see this restaurant is amazing. The food was spectacular. The TVs had a band playing live with amazing classic Mexican music. Probably the best Mexican taqueria restaurant in the vicinity, everything is freshly made, tastes good and is reasonably priced. The service is okay, and usually too busy to be very personable, but I don't mind, they always get the order right and the busy environment is reason that the food is so fresh! I do like the fact that they have an open kitchen so you can see what's going on back there, and I also have enjoyed all the food that I've been served.

I have lived in Denver since the late 80's. I've had a lot of tacos from a lot of places. Tacos Veloz is hands down the best tacos I've ever had. Every time. They also make their own corn tortillas on site. If you are there at the right time you can watch them press and cook the corn tortillas by hand. I couldn't recommend this place enough.
