We love going to Marty's, always greated with a warm smile, it's typically busy so you know everyone loves the food and atmosphere. We typically get the BBQ plate, so lots of great sides to choose from, The spicy vinegar sauce on the table is used generously. Refills on the drinks and prices are very reasonable. Service is fast food is delicious and we always come back. We sit inside because I like to enjoy my meal asap. I only gave a 4 star on the food because we can always strive for better, but it's usally a 5. I'm glad to have this gem close by,but I'd drive fartherif I had to, drive throu

First time at Marty’s barbecue, it’s a great little fast food local restaurant, but it’s home-cooked meals like barbecue chicken, chicken pastry, fried catfish etc. We stopped here because the drive-through line was packed and they have several Catering trucks in the parking lot. We will definitely be back. Tasted like grandma’s chicken pastry but my favorite was the catfish! it appears most of their business is takeout but there are 10 booths inside. Most meals were about $10 for a main dish and 2 sides. Friendly staff.

My wife and I took a road trip to Wilson to try Marty’s BBQ, and it did not disappoint. The to-go line was long — out the parking lot and down the street — but since we were dining in, we got through quickly and were seated in no time. I had the BBQ and fried chicken combo with slaw, boiled potatoes, and Brunswick stew. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. My wife had the BBQ sandwich with potatoes on the side and loved every bite. The food, service, and prices were all excellent. No complaints from us — just a great experience all around. We’ll definitely be back

The casual counter service restaurant was friendly with an extensive menu. Coleslaw and hush puppies appear to accompany every meal if you want them. I ordered fried chicken with string (green) beans and potato salad. I loved the fried chicken which had only a thin crust, not a lot of batter. The potato salad had a bit more mayo than I prefer but was still good. All the home style food was great. The service was great. Someone even collected our trash from the table while we continued to finish our meal. We will definitely visit this restaurant again soon.
