Julie's bites★★★The Sole Proprietor was filled to the rafter, the reviews were good so I was surprised by pretty mediocre food. The service was excellent, attentive and prompt but we left quite a bit of the food unfinished because it was not good . It started well with a nice selection of oysters. The bisque chowder was oversalted, and my husband agreed to swap for his chowder. I liked it better, but it was not great. Very thick, not a lot of clams, but at least not oversalted. My main entre was the scallops. There was so much salt on them that in crunched on my teeth. The risotto the scallops were resting on
Elvis Dizdar★★★★★While in Hudson Massachusetts for work I wanted to eat some good fish. So I asked around and there was many suggestions but one stood out The Sole Proprietor or simply The Sole. So I gave it a shot. The atmosphere inside restaurant is great I was immediately seated. Shortly after that the waitress Maia S was at the table taking my drink order and my appetizer. The food arrived in sequence as I ordered it and everything was as delicious as it sounded on the menu. I had the maple cider glazed swordfish. Absolutely phenomenal. The taste, the texture, it was nice and moist, the pumpkin risotto was
Alex Issokson (Boston Foodie)★★★★Had a fine lunch here the other day. Was a bit disappointed in the fish tacos since they really needed more aioli. The fish could have also been crispier and I’ve had better at many other places. I tried my dad’s scallops which were good, but nothin special to write home about. Decent place to get food at in Worcester, but don’t be expecting anything crazy. Our server was AWESOME!! Great service and attention all around
James Thayer★★★★★Had a family member visiting from California and we wanted to treat her to some good seafood. After searching around, this place seemed to be in alignment with what we were looking for. Didn't realize it was going to be so amazing. The staff, the atmosphere, and some of the best seafood we have had. The Calamari was the hands down best ever. Take a trip and visit, this place is amazing.
