Sensational dining experience with attentive kind service. One of the best meals I’ve eaten. We decided on À la carte Winter menu, Started with oysters fresh with apple, amazing baked bread with butter. Chewy and smells divine, Followed by celeriac skewers, made me want to eat all vegetables on a skewer going forward. Then had the blue fin tuna with mandarin the perfect mouth fulls of sweet citrus juicy tuna and daikon for crunch, then the tiger abalone and chicken noodles coated the mouth perfectly with such depth of flavour. Such a delight! Beautiful, understated, and relaxed restaurant. Forgot I was in Wickham and not the Hunter Valley. The service was perfect. Flavours were good across the board, with a wide variety of drinks available. Did get a bit noisy as it is a smaller venue. Highlights were the prawn bisque, cucumber soup, kingfisher and the accompanying ice cream with the mango dessert.
